Our classes / Private sessions
Private sessions
One teacher, one mat, and an hour built entirely around you. The most direct way to make progress in your practice.
A group class is a wonderful thing, but it is a class for everyone in the room. A private session is a class for you. Your teacher watches only your practice, listens only to what you need, and shapes the whole hour around the body and the day you actually turned up with.
People come to us for private work for all sorts of reasons. Some are brand new and would rather find their feet without an audience. Some are returning after an injury, a pregnancy, or a long pause, and want a careful pair of eyes on how they move. Others have practised for years and have hit a wall. A pose that will not open, a transition that never feels right, and they want to take it apart slowly with someone who can see what is happening.
Whatever brings you, the session is yours. We will talk first about where you are and where you would like to get to, then we practise. Nothing is rushed and nothing is assumed.
What a session can be for · a gentle start · injury & recovery · refining one pose · breath & meditation · building a home practice
If you are not sure what you need, that is perfectly normal, and it is exactly the kind of thing a teacher is good at sorting out with you. Tell us roughly what you are after and we will match you with the right person from the team. Diego for strong, precise work and arm balances. Someone calmer if you would rather slow everything down. The point is the fit.
Sessions run for sixty minutes and can happen at any of the studios, fitted around the times that suit you rather than the times on the timetable. Couples and small pairs are welcome too. It is a lovely way to practise alongside someone you know.
