Big Sur Weekend Retreat
Two nights above the Pacific, three days of slow practice, and nothing on the schedule that you did not choose to be there for.
Some weekends you spend recovering from. This is one you come back from. We take a small group up the coast to Big Sur, settle into a quiet house above the water, and let the practice slow everything down to the pace it was always meant to move at.
There is yoga twice a day, long unhurried meals, and a great deal of doing very little in between. No phones buzzing for your attention, no agenda you have to keep up with. Just the ocean, the trees, the practice, and twenty people who decided the same thing you did.
When & where
We gather on the afternoon of Friday 24 July 2026 at 16:00 and finish after lunch on Sunday 26 July at 14:00. The retreat runs in Big Sur, California, in a house that looks out over the coast. Directions and arrival details go out to everyone once your place is confirmed.
What is included
Your place covers everything once you arrive: a shared room for the two nights, all your meals (cooked fresh, plenty of it, and good), and every class and session across the weekend. You bring yourself, a mat if you have a favourite, and clothes you do not mind getting sandy.
The price
A place is $780. We keep the group to twenty so there is room to breathe and so every teacher actually knows your name by Saturday. A deposit secures your spot, and a payment plan is available if that suits you better. Just ask when you enquire.
Who it is for
You do not need to be advanced, bendy, or anything in particular. If you have practised with us before, or simply want a weekend that is genuinely yours, you will fit right in. Come on your own, as most people do, or bring someone. Either way you will leave knowing a few new faces.
Places are limited and they tend to go. If the dates work for you, come and tell us you are in and we will hold you a spot.
Not sure if a retreat is your thing?
Two weeks unlimited, all studios and the library, $49. Try the practice first and decide from there.
